Corie Elizabeth Clingerman

1933-2026

Corie Elizabeth Clingerman, age 92, of Warfordsburg, Pa., passed away on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Fulton County Medical Center Longterm Care.

Born Saturday, March 11, 1933, in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Emma Smith Decker.

Corie attended the one room schoolhouse, Oak Grove.

She enjoyed reading, embroidering, word search puzzles, and most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Fischer and husband Gary of Warfordsburg, Pa.; three grandchildren, Bobby Fischer and wife Teresa of Greencastle, Pa., Mark Fischer and wife Brooke of Spring Run, Pa., and Lisa Layton and husband Reuben of Warfordsburg, Pa.; five great-grandchildren, Kristen, Derek, Zoe, Levi and Kinley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-seven years whom she married in 1951, Kelly Leo Clingerman; two brothers, Lloyd Decker and Jim Decker; three sisters, Leotta Omps, Bertha Deneen and Beulah Rohrbaugh.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Whips Cove Church, 5044 Moss Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. with two-hour prior visitation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Jerusalem Cemetery, 269 Church Road, Warfordsburg, Pa. Pastor Dick Bernhard will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Corie’s name can be made to the Jerusalem Cemetery Association, in care of John McKee, 134 Reunion Road, McConnellsburg, PA 17233.
