John Walter Hawthorne, Jr.

John Walter Hawthorne, Jr., age 77, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025 at his home.
Born March 8, 1948 in Saltville, Va., he was the son of the late John W. and Dorothy Hawthorne, Sr.
John was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army.
He was a pressman for Pinnacle Printing in Rockville, Md.
He loved to read and watch western movies as well as doing cross stitch and woodworking.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Moore (Missy) and Roger Moore (Stephanie); one daughter, Shannon Whorton (Mike) and one sister, Connie Poston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Yvonne Ward Hawthorne.
