Interludes with Impact Music Publishing will present the 2 Mile Music Fest on Saturday, August 1 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., rain or shine, at Kirkwood Park, 5231 Creek Road in Hancock.
The 2 Mile Music Fest is a fundraiser to benefit causes in the Tri-State area. This year the event will benefit the Mason Dixon Scholarship Fund, Inc., which will get 50% of net funds raised.
October Rose will be performing from 2:30-4 p.m. The group is Nashville based touring artists with Pennsylvania roots. Derek Allan and Leanne Weiss formed their duo after years of performing as solo artists in the Pittsburgh and New York City areas. Since their formation, October Rose’s momentum grows stronger by the day. “Heartbreak Song,” the emotional single that started it all, gained critical acclaim and traction on the country music charts.
Chris Hughes will perform 10:30-11:30 a.m. Hughes writes and performs country music grounded in faith, resilience and everyday life. His songs speak to those navigating loss, doubt, hardship, and redemption — offering encouragement without pretense.
Aaron Hymes will perform 12:30-1:30 p.m. Hymes is a positive country storyteller who transforms real-life struggle, faith and redemption into emotionally honest songs that speak to the everyday believer and the weary soul alike.
Also performing this year will be the Cincinnati Circus. Event times will be 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. They area group of professional aerialists and circus-style artists who will keep you amazed and entertained.
The event is family friendly with free parking and restrooms. It has open outdoor seating, so take chairs or blankets. There will be no outside food or drinks allowed. Food will be available for sale.
There will be activities, raffles, giveaways, local vendors and other events.
