The Sanderson Sisters are coming to Hancock… kind of.
On Friday, October 20, Interfaith Service Coalition, local business, and the Hancock Police Department are partnering for a special movie night where the Disney movie “Hocus Pocus” will be shown in the parking lot behind Martha’s House starting at 7 p.m. The event is free.
Rain date would be Saturday, October 21.
The movie, stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Najimy as the Sanderson Sisters.
ISC Director Deborah Cohill said people could start arriving around 6 p.m. when hot dogs, s’ mores, popcorn, hot chocolate, cider, bottled water, and cookies will be available.
The movie is being shown in the parking lot so ISC could stay within compliance with their licensing agreement to show movies.
Because the movie is being shown outside, Cohill said those attending could take their own chairs or blankets to sit on.
There will also be a fire ring set up for warmth.
Cohill said the businesses partnering with ISC and Hancock Police would be listed at a later date because she didn’t want to leave anyone out.
Hancock Fire Department will also participate, handing out fire prevention materials to attendees, Cohill said.
“Everything is free and it should be a good time,” Cohill said.
