Christmas tree ready for Saturday

Hancock Public Works set up the tree for this Saturday’s tree lighting, which is part of the Miracle on Main Street event co-sponsored by Hancock in Motion and Main Street Hancock. Miracle on Main Street begins at 3:30 p.m. with the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. Both wind up at 8:30 p.m. The tree is in the parking lot below the fire station. It comes from Cherry Hill Farm. Main Street Hancock will be having a contest where there will be gnomes with Christmas words on them. The contest sheets and gnomes will be at participating businesses. Once the contest sheets are complete, they can be turned in to the box at the Christmas tree.
