Free Summer Music Showcase set for August 27 at Kirkwood Park

BlackCat Music Cooperative wraps up the summer with an event for the family at Kirkwood Park in Hancock on Saturday, August 27 beginning at 3 p.m.

The BlackCat Music Summer Showcase will feature over 40 musical performers and provide lawn games and picnic food for those in attendance. The concert begins at 5:30 p.m. and will feature The Berkeley Sings Rock and Roll Choir, The BlackCat Rock and Roll Orchestra, The BlackCat Jr School of Rock, The Tri-State Ukeclectic Orchestra, The Young Yukes and Laz Rapidaz.

BlackCat Music Cooperative and The Hancock Arts Council are co-sponsoring the event that highlights the many talents of area residents.

Funding is provided by the Detlev and Mary Ellen Preissler Fund for Arts, Music, Design and Nature.

Kirkwood Park, with a large capacity pavilion, is located off Creek Road on Kirk Farm Road in Hancock.
