Warfordsburg Senior Center shares new look at Open House

About 40 people gathered last Thursday, March 26, at the Warfordsburg Senior Center for an open house to show off the new décor.

The senior center received a $136,000 grant in November 2025 to redo the inside of the building.

Those in attendance heard from four guest speakers – Robert Cherry, Department on Aging; Connie Brode, Executive Director for Area Agency on Aging; State Representative Jesse Topper and Fulton County Commissioners Steve Wible and Hervey Hann.

At noon, folks were served lunch.

Brenda Sigel, manager of the site, said the senior center welcomes people from not only Fulton County, but also Hancock, Berkeley Springs, and Franklin County. There’s also been people come from Bedford County as well.

Other activities besides meals at the center include Bible Study, music, card and game time and bingo.

The Warfordsburg Senior Center is located at 209 Long Hollow Road in Warfordsburg and is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
