Hancock Middle-Senior High School held its first Career Chat program last Friday, October 11, in the school’s auditorium and a meet and greet in the cafeteria.

Career Coach Susan Mott said 104 students in grades 8 through 12 participated in the first of three such chats to be held this school year in an effort to educate students on a variety of careers.

The first career chat introduced students to careers in healthcare.

Eleven guests in x-ray, CT, nursing, physician assistant, mental health, emergency medical tech, paramedic, athletic training, and medical support staff presented information to students about their field of specialty.

Representatives from Hagerstown Community College’s Allied Health department were on hand to pass out literature to those interested students.
