Hancock hit the road to Weirton, W.Va. to open the Panther football season against the Madonna Blue Dons on Friday, September 1. Panther players secured their first touchdown of the season in the fourth quarter against the Dons, but the rally wasn’t enough in the final tally. Hancock fell to Madonna 49-8 after making 24 total plays and reaching five first downs.
Total game stats for the Panthers were not available by press time.
Hancock will press forward with their first home game this Friday, September 8 starting at 7 p.m. when they face Pennsylvania’ s Halifax High School. Halifax is 1-1 with a home win and a loss away.
