Hancock girls varsity softballers did their best to catch up to the Forbes Road Cardinals last Friday, April 26 as the Cardinals stockpiled seven runs in the opening inning of play. Despite a rally in the second and sixth inning, the Panthers couldn’t regain their footing and lost 16-6 on the road.
The Panther girls batted in two runs in the second inning, and another four in the sixth, but Forbes Road was pounding in the runs even faster for a lead that lasted to the close of the game after the sixth inning.
Hancock was set to play Fort Hill on Saturday, April 27 and will host the Clear Spring Blazers at home today, Wednesday, May 1.
The Lady Panthers are scheduled to head to Southern Fulton on Thursday night for a full week of ball games.
