The Hancock High School Panthers varsity football team will kickoff their 2023-24 football season in Weirton, W.Va. on Friday, September 1 at 7 p.m. when they face off against the Blue Dons of Madonna High School.
In preparation for the season opener next week, the Panthers will play in a scrimmage on Smithburg High School’s new turf field this week.
“Very proud of you guys, and how far we have come so far. We still have a lot of work to do,” said head coach Ron Hare in a post on social media after a lawn chair practice that included an ice cream social afterwards for the players and parents.
The Panthers’ first home football game will be on Friday, September 8 at 7 p.m. when they host the Hornets from Halifax High School in Halifax, Pa.
