Hancock Lioness Lions Club hosted its eighth annual charter night at Hancock American Legion Post 26 on Monday, June 12.

Susan Cox, Lions Club International first vice district governor-elect, swore in a new slate of officers and inducted three new members after a three-course dinner and murder mystery theater performed by club members with audience participation.

Hancock Lioness Lions Club has 31 members, and was chartered by the International Association of Lions Clubs in 2015 after the Hancock Lions Club refused to accept women as full members, according to incoming Hancock Lioness Lions Club president Jeanne Ward.

Lions Club International is known as the world’s largest service club organization.
