The Maryland Department of Natural Resources opened the archery hunting season for white-tailed and sika deer on Friday, September 11. The season runs through January 31, 2027 with several breaks for muzzleloader and firearms season.
In addition, the seventh annual Primitive Deer Hunt Days from February. 1-3, 2027 offer archers using vertical longbows and vertical recurve bows a few more days afield.
