The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will be hosting a workshop showing people how to make soap.
In the free hands-on workshop, they’ll show how to turn basic ingredients into homemade bar soap and then transform it into custom dish soap and laundry detergent.
The workshop will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the church located at 200 Douglas Street in Hancock.
Organizers ask you bring one terry cloth towel, hand or dish towel, to wrap and insulate the fresh soap. They also ask you bring one small plastic mushroom container, the black or blue ones from the grocery store, to use as the mold.
