Hancock starts season 0-4

by Geoff Fox

The Hancock Panthers baseball team has started the season on the slow side with four losses in as many games, but there’s still a lot of season left.

Coach Rocky Wills said the Panthers have lost to Southern Garrett 10-0, McConnellsburg 17-1, Northern Garrett 6-5, and Mountain Ridge 13-12.

There are only two seniors on the 11-man roster with five juniors, two sophomores, and two freshmen.

“The younger players are learning and doing their part to help the team overcome as well as the upperclassmen,” Wills said.

The Panthers had games at Lighthouse (March 31) and Grace Academy (April 2) this week and has games at home against Berkeley Springs (April 8) and at Fort Hill (April 10) next week.
