The Washington County Office of Emergency Management, by order of the Board of County Commissioners, lifted the county wide burn ban on Monday, March 10.
The burn ban was enacted due to prolonged dry conditions and increased fire risk. Recent weather conditions, including increased humidity and rainfall, have improved conditions; however, residents should remain vigilant and take necessary precautions when conducting outdoor burning activities.
