A nice sunny day coaxed this mallard duck from swimming around in the water of the C&O Canal.

A little green started to show along the edge of the C&O Canal towpath on Monday. Walkers and bikers took advantage of the warm temperatures and got outside in the sun.
Temperatures in Hancock hit the low 70s on Monday afternoon, March 9, giving folks the chance to be out enjoying a real taste of spring as they rode their bikes along the Western Maryland Rail Trail.
