Andrew Edward Orebaugh
1924-2025
Andrew Edward Orebaugh, age 101, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Friday, July 25, 2025 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born July 4, 1924 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Samuel Edward and Grace Huffman Orebaugh.
Andrew was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII for over three years. Andrew was first stationed in the Mediterranean Sea area and later in the Asiatic-Pacific area.
He graduated from George Washington University in 1949 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He married Elizabeth Leora Weber in June, 1949 and was employed by Pennsylvania Glass Sand Corporation from 1949 until he retired in 1985.
Andrew was an active member of Trinity-Asbury United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Andra Lee Orebaugh and E. Lindsay McKillican (Daniel), grandson Andrew Sandlin McKillican (Kayleigh), great-granddaughter Isla Lindsay, great-grandson Owen Andrew McKillican, nieces, Susan Shockey Kesecker (Pete) and Jody Clark Hursh (Steve) and nephew John Clark III.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 75 years, Leora Weber Orebaugh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV with Pastor Chuck Bergen officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.
