Registered voters living inside the town limits of Hancock will cast ballots
on Monday, April 21 to choose the next mayor and two council members.
Hancock’s mayors serve for two years and council members are in office for four-year terms.
The lone candidate for mayor during this cycle’s election is Roland Lanehart Jr., who is seeking re-election to the mayoral seat. Five candidates are seeking to fill two seats on the Hancock council. Councilmen Patrick Norris and David Kerns are seeking re-election to their seats, while challengers Preston Hall, Terry Breakall Smith and Craig Ziler are looking to take those council seats for themselves.
Voting will take place at the Town Hall & Community Center, located at
126 West High Street in Hancock. Ballots can be cast from 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
