Hancock’s girls basketball team will close out their 2025 season with three final matchups on their home court in coming days. They head into the finale with several tough losses behind them.
The Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams plowed ahead of the Hancock Panthers during the February 10 girls’ varsity basketball game on Hancock’s court. The Rams won 73-13, putting the Panthers far out of reach of a win in the matchup.
The loss followed another home matchup on January 31 in which Hancock’ s Lady Panthers were outpaced by Forbes Road’s Cardinals, 50-11.
On Thursday, February 13, the Hancock girls faced off against Bishop Walsh at home, falling to the Spartans 43-23. The Panthers scored consistently throughout the match, garnering 12 points in the first half and 11 in the second half of the game, but Bishop Walsh outpaced Hancock throughout the game.
The Lady Panthers were set to face the Union Tigers from Mount Storm on Tuesday, February 18 and then host the Paw Paw Pirates on Saturday, February 22 at 2:30 p.m.
Hancock girls will close out the season at home on Monday, February 24 against the Maryland School for the Deaf, with game time at 5:30 p.m.
