Little Orleans house destroyed by fire

A fire destroyed a house in Little Orleans the morning of Monday, January 27, just after 8:30 a.m.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshall, Jerry Miller discovered the fire at the two-story residence in the 11200 block of Price Road in Little Orleans. The Fire Marshall did not say if Miller was the resident, neighbor, or passerby.

The owner of the building is Evitts Group LLC, the Fire Marshall said in a release.

Firefighters from Orleans Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene with about 20 firefighters and it took them an hour and a half to get the fire under control.

The Fire Marshall’s Office said the fire caused a total of $55,000 in damages.

A smoke alarm was activated and no injuries were reported.

The Fire Marshall’s Office said the fire is under investigation.

A Little Orleans residence was destroyed in a January 27 fire.
