Pa. State Police respond to domestic, accident calls

Pennsylvania State Police responded to a domestic call on Thursday, October 10, at a residence along Pleasant Ridge Road in Fulton County.

According to release from the McConnellsburg Pennsylvania State Police Barracks, around 1:36 a.m. that morning, police responded to the Pleasant Ridge Road residence for a domestic dispute.

According to the victim, the altercation became physical when Katherin Berkstresser, 31, of Needmore, punched and scratched the victim.

Police said the victim also stated Berkstresser grabbed his genitals during the altercation.

Police said Berkstresser was cited with disorderly conduct and harassment through Judge Tamela Mellott Heming.

No injuries in accident.

Pennsylvania State Police also responded to a vehicle accident on September 29, just before 4:30 a.m.

According to police, A 2016 Ford Explorer was traveling north on Great Cove Road in Needmore, attempting to negotiate a right-hand turn.

Police said the crash occurred as the unnamed driver under compensated during the turn and drove off the left-hand side of the road.

Initial point of impact occurred when the Explorer’s front bumper struck a fence where it came to a final rest.

The driver was able to drive the Explorer from the scene, police said, and no injuries were reported.

Police said the driver was cited for the crash and driver exchange was issued to the driver and property owner.
