Veterans of America’s military were recognized during an event held at Berkeley Springs Healthcare Center on Tuesday, August 25.
Community volunteers representing Berkeley Springs VFW post 4019 and Alderton-Dawson American Legion post 60, led by Pastor Dick Voorhaar, visited with residents, bearing gifts with cake and ice cream.
Ten veterans currently live at the skilled nursing facility on Autumn Acres Road.
Each received a commemorative plaque recognizing their military service.
