Gregg Wright returns to Maryland roots in Hancock concert

Gregg Wright, multi-award recipient of the Albert King Lifetime Award, City of Los Angeles Living Legend Blues Award, member of the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, recording and touring guitarist for such luminaries as Michael Jackson, Mick Fleetwood and many others comes to perform at BuddyLou’s in Hancock, Md. on Saturday, October 12.

The event will open with Rich Fehle, singer songwriter from Southern Pennsylvania, performing at 2:30 p.m. Headliner Gregg Wright will take the stage around 3:30 p.m.

Wright is a musician Blues Matters magazine names “in the top echelons of the world’s great Blues/Rock guitarists.”

A Prince George’s County product, Wright began his music career performing around Suitland, Forestville and District Heights. He graduated from Suitland High School in 1972, hitting the road post-graduation in pursuit of a professional music career.

Spending most of the 70s on the U.S. Southern circuit, Wright moved to Los Angeles in the early 80s, touring and recording with some of the biggest names in music. He still resides in Southern California, producing records and touring worldwide.
