Washington County election officials are reminding registered voters and residents of their voting options in the upcoming General Election.
Washington County now has 40 precinct polling places for the 2024 General Election.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 5, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Those voting on Election Day must go to their assigned polling place to cast a regular ballot. Voters arriving at a different location will be required to vote by provisional ballot.

In-Person Voting
On Election Day, November 5, voters will cast ballots in their designated polling place between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. Polling places are tied to the voter’s residency, so any resident with questions about their precinct place should contact Washington County Board of Elections at 240-313-2050.
Early Voting
Early Voting will be available from Thursday, October 24 through Thursday, October 31 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. You may vote at any of these early voting centers:

—Washington County Free Library (Smithsburg Branch) – 66 West Water St., Smithsburg
—Boonsboro American Legion – 710 North Main St,. Boonsboro
Vote by Mail
If Voting by Mail, ensure your ballot is postmarked by November 5, or drop it off at one of the eight ballot drop box locations across the county by 8 p.m. on Election Day.
