Cleanup has begun and improvements have already begun on the picnic area along Rt. 40 on Sideling Hill. During their July 23 meeting in Hancock, county officials said they were working to clear the area with plans to put new roofs on the picnic areas and get lighting on the roadside park in order to improve security. The westward view from Sideling Hill from the picnic area had been littered with trash and other debris in the parking lot and just over the bank.
