Warfordsburg man killed in accident

A 19-year old Warfordsburg man was killed in an accident on Pigeon Cove Road on the night of March 5 in Warfordsburg.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, just before 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, a 2005 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling south on Pigeon Cove Road near its intersection with Frank Road.

Police said the vehicle struck an embankment on the eastern side of the roadway, traveled up the embankment where it began to overturn and roll over multiple times prior to coming to a final rest facing east on its roof.

The driver, Hunter M. Shetter, 19, was not wearing his seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle through the passenger side window.

Police said Shetter was located under the windshield and hood of the Equinox, deceased.

PennDOT, Needmore Volunteer Fire Company and EMS, and Fulton County Coroner’s Office sisted at the scene.
