Southern Fulton lost in a cross division ICC game on Saturday afternoon, December 23, by the score of 38 to 36. The Indians (3-2, 1-0 ICC South), were tied 7 to 7 at the end of one and went to the half down one. Although being down by as much as 7 points with roughly 4 minutes left to play, the Indians stormed back to within 3 points with less than a minute left and several opportunities that saw them come up short. Southern Fulton was led by Ethan Mellott with 10 points and 5 rebounds. Sam Stotler had 9 points and 3 steals. Hunter Ward had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals. Jett Burger had 6 points and 4 rebounds. Trentin Cain had 3 points, 4 rebounds and 2 blocks. Southern Fulton next played in a non-division ICC game, at Windber, on Mon- day.

Southern Fulton traveled to Three Springs on Thursday night, December 21, to take on Southern Huntingdon County in a cross division ICC game. The Indians (4-2, 1-0 ICC South), had a 4 to 3 lead at the end of the first quarter and added two more in the second to take a three point lead to halftime. The third period was another slow scoring affair with Southern Huntingdon scoring four points and the Indians com- ing up empty. In the fourth quarter, Southern Fulton came alive and outscored the Rockets 12 to 2, winning the contest 18 to 9. Coach Jeremy Hann stated, “They were in a zone and wanted to sit back while we had the lead. We didn’t force the issue as we were already short on players. In the second half, they held it some, but then in the fourth, they had to come get us and we closed them out”.
Southern Fulton was led by Sam Stotler with 7 points and 3 steals. Hunter Ward had 5 points and 2 rebounds. Ethan Mellott had 2 points and 7 re-bounds. Trenton Cain had 2 points and 3 rebounds. Southern Fulton went to Berkeley Springs Tuesday night, December 26, for the first round of its annual Holiday Tournament taking on Legacy Christian Academy and defeating the Saints 59 to 10. The Indians (5-2, 1-0 ICC South), led 19 to 2 and never trailed in the game on the way to the victory. Southern Fulton was led by Paul Hendershot with 13 points and 3 steals. Gaven Mellott had 12 points and 6 rebounds. Hunter Ward had 10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Jett Burger had 8 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Ethan Mellott had 6 points and 4 steals. Austin Mann had 4 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Sam Stotler added 2 points, 4 assists and 2 steals. Southern Fulton played Berkeley Springs, in the Championship game, at the Berkeley Springs High School, on Thursday, December 28 at 8 p.m.

Southern Fulton took on Berkeley Springs in the championship game of their annual Holiday Tournament and beat the host 29-25 to win the title. The Indians (6- 2, 1-0 ICC South), trailed 9 to 7 at half time but took a one point lead into the fourth period 16-15. The game went back and forth but Southern Fulton’s Trentin Cain came up with a loose ball with just under two minutes remaining in the game and kicked it ahead to Hunter Ward for a layup and a 26-25 lead. The Indians then got a stop and closed out the game for the win. Southern Fulton was led by Tournament MVP Hunter Ward with 12 points and 1 block. All Tournament Selection Jett Burger had 6 points and 7 rebounds. All Tournament Selection Ethan Mellott had 4 points and 4 rebounds. Sammy Stotler had 4 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. Trentin Cain added 2 points and a block.
Southern Fulton next played at Tussey Mt., in a Non-Division ICC matchup, on Wednesday, January 3 at 6 p.m.
