Town of Hancock officials have released a schedule for trash pick up for Burgmeier’ s, the trash collection company contracted by the town, for the upcoming holiday season. 
In the newsletter, Burgmeier’ s said they are closed on New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.
“We are not closed on ‘observed holidays,’ only the actual day of the holiday,” the trash collection company said.
Trash collection will be on a normal schedule this week. If the trash pickup day is on the day of the actual holiday, trash pick up would be the following day. If collection day is the day before or after the actual holiday, trash is to be set on the regularly
scheduled day.

Customers who need a bulk pick up may contact Burgmeier’ s for scheduling and would pay them directly for that service.
The Town of Hancock will no longer be handling bulk pick ups, the newsletter said.
