BlackCat Music Cooperative filled the Hancock Performing Arts Center with spooky tales and Halloween musical favorites on Saturday, October 28 for a free community event.
The evening kicked off with “HooDoo Bash,” an original play by Mike Kligerman, featuring actors and players from The Young Yukes, Laz Rapidaz, The TriState Ukeclectic Orchestra, The BCMC Youth Vocal Group, The BlackCat School of Rock and The BlackCat School of Rock Jr.
The play followed two groups of youngsters with different lifestyles coming together to help and support the needs of a lonely monster.
After the conclusion of “HooDoo Bash,” the BlackCat School of Rock and BlackCat School of Rock Jr. rocked the stage with familiar rock and roll Halloween songs. Refreshments and a guitar and ukulele giveaway helped to make a evening for the audience of 135 plus in attendance.
BlackCat Music Cooperative and The Hancock Arts Council were the co-sponsors of the event.
