There will be three early voting sites in Washington County for the upcoming election in 2024, and one of those sites will be at Town Hall in Hancock.
The Washington County Board of Elections held a vote session on Tuesday, September 19, to select Early Voting center locations for the 2024 elections. They approved the Washington County Election Center in Hagerstown and Hancock Town Hall as Early Voting centers.
A third optional location was selected but would have to be approved by Washington County Commissioners and the State Board of Election at a later date. That location would be the Boonsboro American Legion.
If either site becomes unavailable, the Maugansville Ruritan Club was approved an alternate site.
The Washington County Election Center is located at 17718 Virginia Avenue, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

When Washington County Commissioners held their July 25 meeting in Hancock, town officials asked the county to consider placing an Early Voting center in town as a service to residents.

There was discussion about placing Early Voting centers in outlying parts of the county to accommodate rural voters.
