A 28-year old Warfordsburg man was arrested and charged after allegedly choking a 21-year old Mercersburg woman.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, just after 7 a.m. on August 10, troopers responded to a report of a domestic incident on Hill Road in Warfordsburg.
After an investigation, police said they determined that Mark Nicholson, 28, had put both of his hands around the female victim’ s neck causing her to see stars.
Police said Nicholson then ripped the victim’s shirt and put it around her neck, tightening it until she couldn’t breathe.
Nicholson then whipped the victim with a flogger, police said.
Nicholson was charged for strangulation, simple assault, and harassment through District Court Tamela M. Heming.
Bail was set at $25,000 with Nicholson confined to Bedford County Prison.
