The Modern Woodmen Fraternal Financial Hancock Chapter #361 will present the 2 Mile Music Fest on Sunday, August 27 from 2-8 p.m. at Kirkwood Park in Hancock.
The 2 Mile Music Fest is a fundraiser to benefit causes in the Tri-State area. Martha’ s House will receive the net proceeds of this event and Modern Woodmen will match the proceeds up to $2,500.
Performing at the event will be Adam Calvert, a country music singer/songwriter from Ohio who is known for his role in MTV’s hit musical reality show, “Taking The Stage.” Calvert also won the Rising Star of the Year and Single of the Year at the Josie Music Awards. Calvert will be on stage from 6-8 p.m.
The Mack Berry Band will be performing from 3-4 p.m. The group brings energy, fun and excitement to every performance with stimulating visuals, captivating audience interaction and heartfelt emotion. The group is from Hagerstown.
Elly Cooke will perform from 4-6 p.m. Cooke is a singer/songwriter from Pennsylvania and began songwriting at 11 and taught herself to play guitar at 14. She covers country, gospel and even pop hits from the decades as well.
The event is family friendly with free parking and restrooms. It has open outdoor seating, so take chairs or blankets. There will be no smoking or alcohol and no outside food or drinks. Food will be available for sale.
There will be activities, raffles, giveaways, corn hole and other events.
