Greencastle man cited for public drunkenness in Buck Valley

Pennsylvania State Police cited a Greencastle man on August 4 for public drunkenness on Buck Valley Road.

Police responded to assist EMS with an intoxicated male just before 4 p.m. on Friday, August 4, in the 15,000 block of Buck Valley Road, which is just over the Pennsylvania/ Maryland border in Warfordsburg.

When police arrived on scene, it was determined Mark Kelly Wilt, 60, of Greencastle, was passed out on the ground behind a pickup truck.

EMS was contacted to check on Wilt, police said.

Wilt became belligerent with EMS who then contacted Pennsylvania State Police.

While on scene, State Police contacted Wilt who was “manifestly intoxicated.”

Police said Wilt refused to a preliminary breath test and refused EMS treatment. He was released to a sober adult, police added.

Wilt was cited for public drunkenness and similar misconduct, according to online court documents.
