Board of County Commissioners appoint Acting County Administrator

The Washington County Board of County Commissioners recently announced the appointment of Michelle Gordon, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), as the Acting County Administrator. This decision comes following the retirement of the previous County Administrator John Martirano, and the Board of County Commissioners is confident in Gordon’s abilities to lead the county during this transition period.

Michelle Gordon has been an integral part of the Washington County team for the past seven months, serving as the CFO and playing a crucial role in managing the county’s finances. Her extensive experience and deep understanding of the county’s operations make her an excellent candidate for the interim role.

As the Acting County Administrator, Gordon will oversee the day-to-day operations of the county, working closely with the Board of County Commissioners to ensure the delivery of essential services to the residents. She will provide steady leadership, maintain open lines of communication and collaborate with county departments to address the needs and concerns of the community.
