Post Office counter in museum

The Hancock Historical Society has reassembled the original Hancock Post Office counter in the Hancock Museum. The display, which includes the entire counter space, office door, mail boxes, and mail slots, was donated to the Historical Society by the Leon Creek family after he passed away. Creek came into possession of the Post Office set up after the Main Street location, which was located at 136 West Main Street, closed and moved to the current location 210 North Pennsylvania Avenue in 1963. The display has an early picture of the Post Office as well as some letters and postcards postmarked from the Hancock Post Office.
