After installing the sign along Pennsylvania Avenue at Town Hall, a few years ago, town officials are looking to relocate that sign and install a newer, electronic sign.
Town Manager Mike Faith presented town officials with three bids for the new sign during the November town meeting.
He said some of the bids included the cost of relocating the existing sign to Kirkwood Park so the park would have its own sign.
The cost would be around $35,000. That cost includes the movement of the sign.
The town’s Public Works crew could move the sign, Faith said. This could save the town $5,000 to $8,000.
Faith was tasked with getting with the town’ s attorney to put together an RFP, or a request for proposal, for a new electronic sign.
