New pottery trail launched in Hagerstown

Pottery Trail of Washington County, announces its launch as the newest tourism experience, it is the first trail of its kind in Maryland.

The Washington County Pottery Trail is a collection of county-based potters whose shops that can be visited year-round, either during their gallery hours or by appointment. All of the potters are part of the attached trail brochure. Stops along the trail can be added to a visitor’s vacation plans.

“This guide to the large number of local potters in the county offers a new way to visit and experience our area. It puts our local artisanal creators at front of mind for residents and tourists alike,” said Dan Spedden, president of Visit Hagerstown. “Truly unique offerings by local artisans can be found. It is also Maryland’s first trail of its kind.”

Washington County is considered an arts destination in the state of Maryland, and the trail compliments all of the local arts-based attractions.
