1951-2026

Rhonda Kay Dietrich passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026 at home surrounded by loved ones while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born March 24, 1951 in Lerona, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Thomas Paul and Jessie Elaine Phillips Anderson. A

fter living and working in several states across the country Rhonda settled in Morgan County to be close to her parents.

Rhonda chose a very fitting career in the hospitality industry, albeit those that knew her thought she would have had great success as a stand-up comedian; she always left them laughing. The Country Inn and Tari’s Café are just two of the places that she graced with her presence. She was dedicated, dependable, hardworking and a loving person that will be loved always and truly missed by all.

She loved the outdoors, gardening, animals and sports, especially the Nats and the Orioles. She loved life, always had a beautiful smile and contagious personality that rubbed off on those who were fortunate to know her. She lived her life in service to others with unwavering compassion, generosity and humility. Heaven has received one of the kindest gifts the world has ever known.

Rhonda leaves behind her true love of 24 years, Kenneth Easton, at home; two children, Michael Dietrich and Mellany Dietrich; five grandchildren, Derrick Cowles (Lauren), Marley Dowell, Hynnja Dietrich, Kyleigh Dietrich, Roslyn Dietrich; three sisters, Pauline Wiseman, Mary Clouatre, Terrie Collins and her big brother, Thomas Paul Anderson, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her younger brother, Daniel Edgar Anderson.

A memorial gathering will be scheduled at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of The Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430 for their support to the family during this time.
