There’s a new officer on the street for the Hancock Police Department. Todd Kiefer has been hired to the town force. Mayor Roland Lanehart, Jr. performed the swearing in last Tuesday, December 2, at Town Hall in a brief town meeting. With Kiefer coming on board as the newest officer, there are now a total of five full time officers patrolling Hancock. Lanehart said the town has also hired a new part-time officer, however that officer will be sworn in at a later date.
