Nancy Jane Yost
1937-2025
Nancy Jane Yost, age 87, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Friday, November 2025 at the War Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility.
Born December 1, 1937 in Martinsburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Ward Riser and Ruth Irene French Hessler.
She was a member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
Nancy was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School.
She worked as a hair dresser.
Nancy enjoyed flower gardening, scrapbooking, singing, playing the piano and listening to music.
Nancy is survived by her sister, Doris Hessler Riner of Romney, W.Va. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Clarence “Sonny” Yost, Jr., two sisters, Dianne Hessler and Mary Ellen Lighter and three brothers, Donald “Tex” Hessler, Charles Hessler and Thomas Hessler.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 5, 2025 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Pastor Mike Leedom will officiate. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the funeral home.
