Robert Dale Truax

1941-2025

Robert Dale Truax lived for his faith, his family, friends, hunting and John Deere tractors. First and foremost he loved the Lord with all his heart. He openly shared this love with others resulting in many accepting Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. He was the loving patriarch of his branch of the Truax family, a family that extended to many close friends and brothers and sisters in Christ. Dale never met a stranger. He was always willing to lend a helping hand or offer a detailed hunting or tractor story to anyone who would listen. As a mechanic, he opened and co-owned Truax Auto Repair and established Truax Custom Enterprises, now Double T Homes. He was member of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Association, a founding member of Faith In God Chapel, of Berkeley Springs, and sang with the local Praise Club for many years. Graduating in 1959, he was alumni of Southern Fulton High School. Along with his brothers, he enjoyed participating in the Cove Mills Old Farm Machinery Association.

Dale’s life was blessed, filled with faith, love, family and friendship. He went on to meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on the evening of November 27, 2025. Born in Fulton County, Pa. on May 28, 1941, he was a third son to the late Edna E. (Mellott) Truax and the Reverend Floyd Truax. He is preceded in death by both parents, his sister, Kay Charlene Truax and brother Floyd Dean Truax.

He is survived by his brothers Pastor Roger D. Truax and Gary E. Truax. He was married 64 years to Marion (Mellott) Truax, and his children are Allen D. Truax (wife Tracy), Donna (Truax) Norman (husband Dennis), Tawana (Truax) Guscoria (husband James) and David C. Truax (wife Kristy). Dale was “Pappy” to fifteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Another great-grand child is due 2026.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Faith In God Chapel, 84 Cooks Lane, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time. Pastor Ken Dyer will officiate. Burial will be private.
