Fire Marshal investigating attempted arson

Fire crews and police were called to a residence on Hess Road in Hancock just after 12:30 a.m. last Wednesday morning for an attempted arson.

According to the Maryland State Fire Marshal’s office, the occupant of the single-family house called 911 and told dispatchers he was going to set his house on fire.
