William B. Little
1942-2026
William B. Little, age 83, died on August 14, 2026, surrounded by his family in Bowling Green, Virginia.
Born on December 31, 1942, in Hancock, Maryland, he was the son of the late Chlorous L. Hovermale Little and the late Philip N. Little.
He was a born-again Christian; a graduate of Hancock High School, class of 1960; and a member of the first Hancock High School football team.
He enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps after high school (at the age of 17) and was a combat veteran of the Vietnam and 1st Gulf (Desert Storm) Wars. He retired as a sergeant major with over 24 years of service. He was the recipient of numerous military medals and awards in recognition of his dedicated service He also retired as postmaster of King George County, King George, Virginia, with over 30 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by brother Tommy Little.
He is survived by three daughters, Shari (husband Robert), Kendra (husband Dan) and Brooke (husband Zach) and six grandchildren: Brandon, Kerith, Kenzie (husband Brandon), Kaleigh, Blakely and Carter. He is also survived by one brother, Sam Little and sisters Linda Litton, Chlorous Little and Kathy Zeitler, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was a loving father, brother, uncle and friend, and he will be greatly missed.
The celebration of life service was conducted at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 24, 2026 at Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home, 141 West Main St., Hancock, Maryland. Interment was at St. Peter Catholic Church Cemetery.
