Wild Harvest Workshop to be hosted Oct. 17 at Martha’s House

On Saturday, October 17, regional nonprofit Wild Potomac will be hosting its final event in the Connecting with Local Trees series they have been running throughout 2026.

They will be offering a workshop at Martha’s House called the Wild Harvest Workshop.

This will be a free gathering where you can come and learn how to process and make foods from the nuts and fruits that our local trees produce in the fall. Attendees will be able to learn about what kinds of foods can be made from local trees, and there will be a chance to sample different tree foods at the event.

You’re invited to bring any fruits or nuts you have foraged or harvested this year if you’d like to share them with the group! Or just come as you are.

All are welcome to attend, including kids who attend with a guardian. Come wearing clothes that can get a little dirty in case you decide to join in the cooking.

Register for the event ahead of time at Eventbrite to ensure you get sent the details. Registration is available at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/wild-harvest-workshop-marthas-house-tickets-1993481131728
