Joshua Brennan Walls, age 18, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born May 5, 2008 in Winchester, Va., he was the son of Terry Lee Walls, Jr. and Lisa Bernadette Rutter Walls of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
He was a 2026 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School where he was a star athlete on the Track and Cross-Country team. Josh earned the Governor’s Award from James Rumsey Technical Institute and was a member of the National Technical Honor Society. He enrolled at West Virginia University to earn his Biomedical Engineering degree.
Joshua worked with his father with the family business Walls Remodeling.
He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two brothers, Aiden Jacob Walls and Ryder Lee Walls, his paternal grandfather, Terry Lee Walls, Sr., uncle Mike and aunt Nicole Higham, uncle Marc and aunt Mary Rutter, cousins, Caedyn Higham, Michael Higham and Sammy Rutter and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jacqueline Walls and his maternal grandparents, Donald Edward and Bernadette Helen Rutter.
Celebration of Life Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at Berkeley Springs High School Gymnasium, 149 Concord Avenue, Berkeley Springs, W.Va., where the family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Pastor Lisa Unger will be officiating. Burial will be private.
