Hancock’s annual Back to School and family supply giveaway will once again be held this Saturday, August 8 from 10 a.m. to noon at Widmeyer Park.
Organized by a coalition of faith organizations and local businesses, this is the 13th annual event that provides backpacks with school supplies, personal care and household care items plus baby supplies and a free lunch. 
Distribution of free items will be held drive-thru style. No registration, proof of residency or income are required. All individuals to receive the items must be present to collect them on Saturday.
Volunteers will hand free items to families as they line up in the park. The event will run until noon or until supplies run out.
