Gary L. Scriever
1949-2026
Gary L. Scriever, 76, of Hollidaysburg, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 21, 2026, at UPMC Altoona Hospital.
He was born June 27, 1949, in Hagerstown, Md., a son of the late Reed Scriever and Laura Shaw.
In 1973, he married the former Kay Seville in Whips Cove Tannery, Pa., sharing more than fifty years of marriage together.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Kay Scriever; a daughter, Tara Dunio and husband, Stephen; a cherished granddaughter, Gia Dunio; a brother, Greg Yost and wife, Mary Ann; aunts Bonnie Ward and Helen Layton; uncle Marvin Northcraft and several nieces and nephews.
Gary was a 1967 graduate of Hancock Senior High School in Maryland and later attended Hagerstown Junior College.
He worked for Lowe’s as a Store Manager until his retirement in 1996.
Gary was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed Harley-Davidson motorcycles, Corvettes, and, most of all, spending time with his family.
Funeral services were Wednesday, May 27, at The Good Funeral Home, Inc., 108 Alto Reste Park, Altoona, Pa. Interment was held at Alto Reste Park, Altoona, Pa.
