Douglas Raymond True , 87, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away, Sunday, July 5, 2026, at the Meritus Medical Center.
Born Thursday, July 28, 1938, in Hancock, Md., he was the son of the late Leroy F. True and the late Dorothy S. (Corbett) True.
Doug graduated from Hancock High School in 1956.
He later was employed for many years with NBC in Washington, D.C.
He loved to restore houses and enjoyed playing the piano.
He is survived by his sister, Irene Anna Little; brother, William “Bun” E. True and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, John W. True and James W. True.
Services will be held privately with the family. Interment will be at the Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, Md.
