1962-2026
Rhonda Sue Carter, age 64, passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at her daughter’s home in Falling Waters, W.Va.
Born March 3, 1962, in Hagerstown, Md., she was the daughter of Opal Marie Hawvermale McCusker of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. and the late Gary Lester McCusker, Sr.
Rhonda attended two churches, Crossroads Assembly of God in Martinsburg, W,Va., and Gateway Ministries in Williamsport, Md.
She was a graduate of Hancock High School and went on to earn her cosmetology degree from Hagerstown Community College in Hagerstown, Md. S
he worked at Hair Concepts in Hagerstown, Md.
Rhonda loved her family, church and spending time with her grandchildren. I
n addition to her mother, Rhonda is survived by one son, Joshua Carter of Wendell, N.C.; one daughter, Janessa Watkins of Falling Waters, W.Va.; one sister, Vickie Maslauskas of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; one brother, Gary McCusker, Jr., of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Cameron Watkins, Harper Watkins and Joslyn Carter and several nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services will be in Union Chapel Cemetery.
